Can I try the Wind Comfort app for free?
At the moment, the free trial is available for Wind Tunnel and Wind Load application. You can access the Wind Comfort app on the open demo page here.

Do I have to run the simulations myself?
It’s up to you! Ingrid Cloud provides a do-it-by-yourself work frame, where you can set-up a simulation within minutes. And we also provide personalized urban wind studies, performing tailor-made simulations and reports for our customers.
If our existing apps do not fit your needs, contact us and we will make sure to find a solution for you.
Is it possible to change the wind profile?
Yes, when setting up a simulation, it’s possible to choose between 3 different wind profiles. Choose the one that matches with the surroundings of your area of interest:
1. City/Forest 2. Open Terrain 3. Water.
We are working on that feature. The possibility for uploading your own wind data is coming soon. At the moment, this can be ordered as a service, and you can hire Add-Ons like this one directly from your account.
What does ‘visualization height’ means and how does it affect the results?
The visualization of your simulation will be provided according to the heights you choose. Default height for pedestrian comfort is 2 meters measured from the bottom of the given model. It’s possible to add up to 4 different heights.
Is it possible to look at results from meshing (mesh quality)?
Yes, after the simulation is completed mesh pictures are available on the report page. The mesh can also be analyzed by the downloadable .VTU file.
Is it possible to change the solver parameters?
No, in order to provide a fast result and minimize human errors, solver parameters are default for all users.This is Ingrid Cloud’s solver parameters:
Turbulence model: Implicit Large Eddy Simulation - used with stabilization on under resolved local mesh cells acting as turbulence model.
Num. scheme: Space Discretization Continuous Galerkin with First Order Lagrangian elements.
Num. scheme: Time Discretization Crank-Nicolson

Is it possible to post-process simulation results yourself?
Yes, raw .VTU file can be downloaded from the report page.
